    Hi all,

    Change site url
    WordPress MultiSite
    Godaddy Ultimate hosting

    I have a website of url sub.domain.com. I have it moved from Godaday Deluxe Plan to Ultimate Plan. It is now working able to be browsed on Internet with sub.domain.com. Now I expect changing its url to primary.com (primiary domain). I have been googling around for an instruction and found many suggestions, including;

    Codex
    Changing The Site URL
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

    But more I read more confuse I’m. Please advise it is possible to make it? If YES please advise HOW? Pointer would be appreciated.

    To clarify. You want to move sub.domain.com to primary.com ?

    Yes.

    I’m now subscribing Godaddy Ultimate hosting plan. I have to move/migrate all websites on the current Deluxe hosting plan.

    I’m prepared migrating pubco.reynoldstocks.com and then change its URL to nowgopublic.com which is the primary/hosting domain of Ultimate

    Hi,

    Thanks for your advice. I’ll move/migrate pubco.reynoldstocks.com from Godaddy server-1 to server-2. Then change its URL after migration to nowgopublic.com which is the primary/hosting domain. It is NOT a happy job.

    I succeeded migrating cnpubco.reynoldstocks.com from server-1 to server-2 and afterwards changed its URL to chinse.nowgopublic.com

    The new website is working. But some tweaking is necessary especially on Home/1st page.

    I’ll do the same steps on pubco.reynoldstocks.com

    It’ll be more complicate because I expect installing all wordpress folders and files on /blog for better house-keeping, not clustering all of them on / (/root). But I don’t like running http://nowgopublic.com/blog to browse the website.

    I don’t think I can follow exactly the steps described on the article. Because this is share-hosting, some features being disabled.

    If successful I’ll post the complete steps here.

    Hi Ipstenu and all,

    I have completed moving/migrating pubco.reynoldstocks.com and changing its URL to nowgopublic.com.

    Now it can be browsed on Internet running http://nowgopublic.com/nowgopublic.com

    minor tweaking still being needed.

    My next step will be removing /nowgopublic.com which is the folder for wp data. I did it before. I hope I can do it the second time
