• When Links disappeared, I thought, “Why”. It was nice to be able to categorize links and have them appear where needed. Then recently, I started playing with Bitnami so that I could have a test instance of WP on my office PC. With XAMPP, I could generate a multisite instance of WP in about 12 minutes, and even ran it on a USB stick when there was XAMPP Lite available. And, now I am trying to pull together an instance of WP that will work for an Intranet. It’s tough enough having to add beaucoup number of plugins (and hoping those 3rd parties will keep them updated) for the more exotic features, but when the basic functionality of WP is eroded, you begin to think, is there a more insidious plot to undermine WP. *When I went looking for the image border & padding options, I had just added a multi-column plugin, and I thought, “This plugin has dumbed down the image functionality.” But, no, it was the upgrade to 3.9 that had already done that.
