Error Establishing a Database Connection

    This is an intermittent problem but of the four web sites on my hosting account I know that I am getting these intermittent errors on 3 of them. I am active on two of the four sites by not on the third one which makes me think that it is a problem with my host. I did call them last week but their testing tells them that all is OK with my package. I am not so sure about that and will be back on the phone this week to follow up.

    This is a difficult problem to track down because it is intermittent. I have tried backtracking on some of the plugins I recently installed but it has not made any difference.

    Anyone had any experience with a problem like this?

    I’ve been having the same problem. I suspect it is an issue with my security plugin. I think trying to do too many things at once i.e. work on multiple sites at the same time, triggered the security plugin to recognize that as an attack. It started happening right after I updated my security plugin.
    If you wait a while (depending on how long the lock is set for)
    Go to your security settings and make the adjustments you need, like adding your own ip address to white list.
