I’m also wondering about this plugin…
I noticed in one of my sites where i was using this plugin, when viewing the site via mobile browser, at the very bottom of the page it now has a link to some other site in Asia…
“protection supported by Top Engineering College in Chennai” clicking the link takes me to http://www.velhighhtech.com
I have now added nofollow to all my external links but i’m still concern that this plugin may be doing more damage then good.
Is this plugin damaging my sites seo?
Is the plugin stealing the juice from my sites?
How can I remove all external links from this plugin?
If I do not hear from the developer I will have to report this plugin and get it removed from here, so please dev response and explain what is going on.
Ok, after examining the plugin, i can confirm this plugin is being used to drive traffic to another site, unfortunately the way this is being done google considers this to be a keyword stuffing technique and hence I believe the sites which have this plugin installed are being penalized.
Looks like the developer is some kind of spammer.
I have edit the plugin file and changed the function so it no longer displays or points to this illegal website.
We should have given it as an option but anyway link removed now.
It should not slow your site. Let us know if it does.
