    Hi there.

Best pluggin for FAQ ever! πŸ™‚

I’ve been reading about reordering FAQs and I installed Post Type Order as you suggested in another post and work perfect for re-order FAQs, but how can I re-order the groups?
I’m showing all the FAQs in the same page in 2 groups, one is called Other, which should be last in the page, but – I suppose as it was created the last – it is shown first in the front end.
    Any suggestion?

    Thanks a mill!
    Irene

    Hi Irene,

Thank you for using my plugin and for the kind words. Right now the only way to easily order the groups is to do it manually, otherwise the plugin will do it alphabetically

    [faq group="group-1"]
    [faq group="group-3"]
    [faq group="group-2"]

How could I’ve missed it! I was looking for a more complex solution I suppose…
That’s absolutely perfect John, Thanks very much for the quick help πŸ™‚

    Thanks!

    Hi,
i have the same problem, however the solution above didnt resolve it. If it put:
    [faq]
Then it works and faq’s are displayed. However if i put sometning like:
    [faq group=”group-1″]
    Or:
    [faq group=”my faq group”]
it just nothing comes up on the page (blank page)

    What may be wrong?
    thanks

    Hi freemenn,

Sorry to hear about your troubles. For the first item

    [faq group="group-1"]

If that isn’t working, then perhaps the group you’re entering does not exactly match up with the group slug set by WordPress. From the Admin side, go to FAQ > Groups. Find the appropriate FAQ group you’re looking for and grab the slug value for that group. Copy/paste that into the group parameter of the shortcode and that should get you going.

As an FYI, groups cannot contain spaces as WordPress accepts slug values only, and slugs don’t have spaces.
