2.6 Disaster. How To Now Restore Automatic Upgrade BACKUP?? | WordPress.org

I give up. Open source has its down falls, unfortunately 2.6 is falling hard. I just want my old site back. I used Automatic Upgrade Plugin which gave me two zip files. How do I now restore my old site using this??

Please any help would be great. I know nothing of Sql, databases, etc. Just a simple gal who used Bluehost one click install and never looked back 🙂

Bluehost will likely have a backup of your old website. I’d suggest contacting them and seeing what backup dates they have available and see if you can have one restored. http://www.bluehost.com/contact_us.html

Also, stay away from automatic upgrade plugins. If you want to have an upgrade done, do it with Bluehost’s Simple Scripts that way, if something goes wrong, there is a button right there after the upgrade fails to go back to the old site. Or, better yet, do the manual upgrade: http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress
