3.9 is terrible. I used to be able to click on an image, then edit the appearance and the SEO. Now I can’t do that. The ‘improvements’ are invisible! It wasn’t broke – why did you ‘fix’ it?

How can I add a border to my images in a simple fashion? (as I used to)

  • Per web standards, accessibility, and best practices, styling should generally be done in a CSS stylesheet. So ideally, you should set your styles in your theme’s stylesheet (or perhaps a CSS plugin) and just apply a CSS class to your images to have that specific style from the stylesheet be applied to your image. This will prevent your markup being cluttered with “styles” that screen readers or other assistive devices may have trouble understanding.

All that being said, there’s a plugin now to provide this functionality: http://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-image-styles/

Thank you – I downloaded the plug in and it seems to be working. Thanks!
