    Website: http://www.theheavenlybride.com

I just updated S2Member. The website is no longer behaving properly as a result. The words you see there are not supposed to be there because it’s protected content. The website was behaving perfectly yesterday, not putting protected content on the front page and eveything. This is just… wah.

Hopefully someone can address this. I don’t make a lot of money from this comic but it did save our bacon last month. People expect their pages, or at least so see a functional website.

    Using Comic Easel.

And now it’s working. I don’t get what happened to be honest.

If you’re using a caching plugin, that can sometimes cause delay in putting updates into effect properly. Re-saving permalinks can sometimes help.

However, I agree there’s something problematic about the latest update. I’ve only put it on my development localhost installation at the moment, and it has made everything very slow. So I’m not planning to put it on my live sites until I’ve worked out what’s going on. Let’s hope the developers diagnose the problem quickly.

No I don’t have a caching plugin. I don’t think my version has a cache at all. At least, there’s no folder for it. I’m running on Godaddy.

What I did was uncheck the setting for things to behave, saved, reloaded, then rechecked it. That may have worked.

I thought the slowness was me.

I have reported the slowdown to the developers, so we’ll have to see whether they can come up with anything.

That works. (only saying this so I can actually mark this thing resolved. sigh.)
