Tumblr app won't authenticate

    Tried the Tumblr import. Set up goes to plan until l go to authorise. WP sends me to my tumblr dashboard and then…nothing. Its meant to return me to WP.

    There seams to be no way on the whole internet to get my Tumblr blog into WP, not one that works anyway?

    Please help, its a self hosted site I’m setting up and I have about 7 years worth of blogs (previously ported from blogger)

    Do you have a custom domain name, or is it on the tumblr.com settings?

    Might not work with custom domain names in Tumblr.

    No I don’t have a custom name. Standard ‘you name.tumblr.com’

    Hmm. Not sure. Did you set up the Tumblr App correctly as per the instructions?

    It works fine for me in my testing. Other than that, can’t be sure as to what the specific problem might be.

    Thanks anyway. Could it be something to do with using the newest version of WP?

    No, version of WP won’t matter here.

    Can ANYONE out there help me. Once i’ve set up the app and pasted in the 2 keys it sends me back to Tumblr to authenticate, but just leaves me on the dashboard.
    At no point does it ask me to authorise or redirect me back to my wordpress page.

    I have over 7 years of blog I need imported. I just need to find a way that works.
