I keep getting locked out of my site…however IP address it discovers is my own IP. This is happening even though I login with correct details.

    Dear Site Admin,
A host, has been locked out of the WordPress site at http://www.abc due to too many attempts to access a file that does not exist.
The host has been locked out until 2014-04-19 13:17:13 .

log & backup folders were broken…repaired. See if that resolves issue

    Mike:

How did you discover those broken folders? And what do you mean by that? I keep getting locked out of numerous sites every time I’m doing maintenance or updates, even though my IP address is whitelisted. I’m about to give up on this plugin.

No still getting locked out every time I do an update. @rpsellers I have the same issue as you. Think I need to open this issue again!!

I recently changed hosting providers – hence I needed to fix the location of the backup and log folders under settings.

Additionally have now installed Clef – think its the only way to secure your site!
