    Greetings,

I am just starting out with my first WP site using Sugar & Spice, which is here http://www.emilynedelltuck.com, but I do not see a way of adding a linked HOME button to the default menu.

After reading other similar posts for other themes, many have some kind of View All pages option (under Pages?) where they find a default home button. . . well my theme seems to lack this (or am I not looking in the right place?), and the developer said she will not accept questions for her free WP theme. I tried to create my own Home programmatically, via the theme interface, but through it all I could do was create a new page containing the link to the home page.

Is there a simple way of doing this without having to create a new custom menu or create a child theme and them edit the CSS? (Sheesh, it would have been faster using Dreamweaver.) Any assistance would be very much appreciated!! And if this question is too simplistic for the forum you can also email me directly, elibrarian@hotmail.com.

    THANK YOU!

    Emily

    Hi elibrarian27

The way I usually do this is I create a new page and call it Home. I set this new page up entirely with everything I want the home page to have.

Then create a new menu in the administrator and add the new Home page to the menu.

You will also need to modify the navigation in your them customization to use the newly created menu as the primary navigation.

Add any new pages you create to this new menu and they will appear.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Thank you,

    Pete
