Creating, edit & display a databaselist

I have my wordpress weblog up and running, but now I want to create, edit and display a list from my database. I like to create a list of all the books I own, and display them (using ofcourse the mysql database which wordpress uses). And I must be able to edit that list whenever I buy some new books.
Is this possible ? I don’t think any plugin exist to do that kind of job ? Or can anyone point me to the php-code I need for that ?
