I’ve installed several blogs in sub domains. That’s crazy.
There should not be any redirects at all if the 2 url’s in your admin “Settings” are correct.
I’m having the same problem as voltolio, and Godaddy says:
“The issue is that WordPress does not correctly set up certain administrative information during its installation when you are installing for either an alias domain or a sub domain. You will need to access the WordPress admin screen for this installation (that is, the wp-admin screen), log in using the correct name and password, then select the Setup link. This provides a screen containing several boxes. The important ones for you are the domain name (which will be your sub domain name) and the path.
This is the absolute path for your Linux hosting account:
/home/content/1/2/3/username/html/
Where “/1/2/3/” are the first three letters of your user name and
“username” is the user name you used to set up your hosting account.”
I’m confused because I don’t think writing this information will direct my blog to the right place.
Samboll makes it sound very easy… Should I just change my 2 URLs to
http://subdomain.domain.com, and that’s it? Won’t this mess up my database, or anything else?
