    HI,

    This seems like a great plugin but it keeps running out of memory regardless of what I enter in the “Maximum memory Wordfence can use” option.

    The Scan summary shows:

    [Apr 10 15:31:18]Comparing core WordPress files against originals in repository
    [Apr 10 15:31:18]Skipping theme scanDisabled [Visit Options to Enable]
    [Apr 10 15:31:18]Comparing plugins against WordPress.org originals

    While scan detailed activity reads:

    [Apr 10 15:31:16] Including files that are outside the WordPress installation in the scan.

    Unfortunately we don’t control how much memory your hosting provider makes available for your site. Looks like they’ve given you about 64 megs of memory. This isn’t much for a large wordpress site, so please ask them for an upgrade.

    Regards,

    Mark.

    I got an upgrade from my host to 128mb which is their maximum. Still not a great deal but wordfence is working now.

    Thanks

    I have the same problem, with wp 3.9 64MB
    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /home/barak/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wordfenceHash.php on line 322

    Site is small.
    Debug=true, no errors reported.
    Only few well known plugins are used

    @mulli.bahr,

    Contact your host and ask them to increase your memory. My host was surprisingly accommodating 🙂

    @ralphonz thanks.

    I have updated my php.ini and wp-config.php to 128M (on my VPS).
    Wordfense is running longer, but still hangs with the same error.

    I have disabled/enabled the Wordfense plugin. Updated to 5.0.4.
    php-info() tells me that I have 128M.

    I just wonder, where am I wrong in my memory allocation definitions?
    Any hint is appreciated.
    Thanks

    According to Wordfense memory allocation test:
    Wordfence Memory benchmarking utility version 5.0.4.
    This utility tests if your WordPress host respects the maximum memory configured
    in their php.ini file, or if they are using other methods to limit your access to memory.

    –Starting test–
    Current maximum memory configured in php.ini: 128M
    Current memory usage: 38.50M
    Setting max memory to 90M.
    Starting memory benchmark. Seeing an error after this line is not unusual. Read the error carefully
    to determine how much memory your host allows. We have requested 90 megabytes.
    Completing test after benchmarking up to 80.25 megabytes.
    –Test complete.–

    Congratulations, your web host allows you to use at least 80.25 megabytes of memory for each PHP process hosting your WordPress site.

    Einfach Geldabzocker: Wordfence deaktivieren und wieder löschen !

    Besser kostenlose Plgins die IP Blockieren oder Country blockieren

    Delete Worddefence. Das Worddefence die Webseite lahm legt – das ist die grössste Sauerei bei WordPress. Die Worddefence Programmierer sollten das verhindern. Und nicht bis zu 200 € jährlich abzocken. Extrem expansive. Worddefence against WordPress Webspace.
