Same here. Doesn’t work in 3.9 final as well. Waiting for a fix.

I appreciate all the hard work WP does with its continual development of the CMS platform, but why release something like this if it’s going to cause havoc and impact a blogger’s productivity.

I am having a similar problem. The visual editor and its toolbar in 3.9 are not functioning at all.

@jc-hillbent Its not WordPress’s fault if the Crayon Syntax’s toolbar are not working in 3.9. The developer needs to update his plugin here.

Thanks for the insight, Navjot Singh. Is there another toolbar that you could possibly suggest as a workaround replacement?

I am using WP3.9 with twentyfourteen theme.

    Thanks again….

I just checked my plugins and I do not have Crayon Syntax’s toolbar installed. I am using the default toolbar that comes with WP. Other than this, I am using TinyMCE Advanced plugin, which I deactivated and the visual editor still does not work.

Navjot Singh is correct. This is the wrong thread. I accidentally posted here, but you will need to go to Troubleshooting Forum section. There are some good tips there and support on the issue.

I’m not sure if this will apply to any of you, but I had to check my plugins individually and deactivate each one until I found out which one was not working. For me, the culprite was Zedity, which has not been updated yet to be compatible with WordPress 3.9.

    Hope this helps…

    Guys,
We released version 3.1.1 earlier today. Please make sure to update Zedity to the latest version, which includes the compatibility support for WP 3.9.
Please feel free to contact us for any issue about this.
Even though we tried to add the support for WP 3.9 as soon as possible, we apologize for any inconvenience related to that.
    Regards,
    The Zedity Team

Crayon Syntax Highlighter was updated to version 2.6 today which fixes the compatibility issues with WP 3.9. Fixed it for me.
