    I have a problem with bogus subscribers to my site, but I have no registration page or any way that I know of for people to subscribe. The subscribers are like others in posts I have read about bogus subscribers, and I’m fairly sure they are spam addresses. I just delete them as they show up. But how are they registering as users when I have no registration page? I would like to have such a page in the future, but not now. Thanks for any help.

    These are spam users, it does happen to some WordPress sites, ensure registration is disabled on your site;

    http://www.YOURDOMAIN.co.uk/wp-login.php?action=register

    This URL will tell you if registration is disabled on your site, if not then bots will be going to this URL and registering, for example on my site it is disabled and I get no spam;

    Haz, thanks for the reply. When I go to the URL you suggest (it is a .com instead of a .co.uk) this is what I get:
    ————
    Warning: require(/home/partoyia/public_html/wp-includes/load.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/partoyia/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 21

    Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/partoyia/public_html/wp-includes/load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/altphp/lib/php’) in /home/partoyia/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 21
    ———–
    I’m not experienced in coding so I don’t really know what this means. Does the fatal error mean that the registration is disabled, or is something else going on here that I should know about? Thanks in advance.
