Check your server logs for possible reasons.
But to get you back up and running, download a copy of wordpress, unzip it, and then upload these files to your server replacing the old files there *except the wp-config.php file and the wp-content folder* (don’t overwrite these!). Then check and see if your site comes back up.
Stupid question, how do I access my server?
Thank you so much for your help!!

When you got hosting for your site, the hosting company should have provided you with an account to access your files on the server.
Unless this is a managed (i.e. the hosts manage it all for you) WordPress site – in which case you should contact your host for assistance.
Ok, I have logged in to the host server and I can see a public.html folder, within that there is is all these files, I have screen capped to show you. If I delete these existing files and replace them, will I lose any of the content and settings from the website?

Hi,
I had the same issue with some of my sites.
The suggestion above to overwrite the core files worked for me. VERY NB though (& mentioned in the suggestion as well) DO NOT overwrite wp-config.php & wp-content
As long as you don’t overwrite your wp-config.php file and the wp-content folder, your website data will be fine.
