I have your standard Grid Gallery installed and even though the options to put in Caption 2 and 3 show up when working with an image, these captions will not show up in the gallery display on a page. Am I missing something?

In other words, I put in a regular caption and it shows up on the page just fine. I put something in Caption 2 and Caption 3 and it will not show up. I do have the Media Library Custom Fields installed. What am I doing wrong?

Free version of Grid Gallery with Custom Links can only display a single caption per image. Additional captions are available in premium version of the plugin: Grid Gallery with Custom Links Pro http://abcfolio.com/help/wordpress-plugin-grid-gallery-with-custom-links-pro-text-layout/

The Caption 2 and Caption 3 fields are part of our free plugin Media Library Custom Fields. This plugin is used by both free and premium versions of the Grid Gallery.

Thank you. I have another question. Is there a way the caption can be simply a non-linked caption but the image still have the link? The caption text is a link, and consequently too large and the wrong color. I don’t need the captions linked, just the images.

The Caption 2 and Caption 3 are not part of the Grid Gallery. They are added to WordPress Media Library by Media Library Custom Fields plugin.

    Hi Voytek,

Yes, I realize that. I guess what I’m asking is how can I change the caption that IS displayed to be simply a caption and not a link? It shows up as BOLD and underlined when hovered over. I want it simply to be text and not a link. Would this be solved by purchasing the Pro version? Is there a way to control what the link looks like with CSS?

This plugin is designed to add hyperlinks to both image and a caption. There is no simple way to remove a link from the Caption 1.

You can use CSS to change how the hyperlink looks like. The formatting comes from your theme “h4 a” style.

There is no need to purchase a premium version if you only want to change the hyperlink style.

The Pro version has an option to add captions that are not hyperlinked. You can also add a custom stylesheet to have a full control over visual aspects of the Grid Gallery with Custom Links Pro.
