About Page Not Found on Localhost

    I have WP installed on my PC under WampServer just to play around with different themes and such. I’ve had WP installed for a while and it has worked but now for some reason the home page works but if I go to About I get a 404 Not Found error. The home page is http://localhost/wordpress/ and the About is http://localhost/wordpress/about/. My Permalinks are set to Day and Name. When I click on About it points to the correct link but I get the 404 error. When in Manage Posts if I click on Published I get the error too. I reinstalled a new 2.5.1 but still see the problem. Would it be a Permalink problem? What could I be missing?

    Figured it out. Silly me.
    In wamp server, you have to tell Apache to turn on the “rewrite_module” from the “Apache modules” list. I have no idea why that isn’t on by default, and this is not the first time it’s burned me. Easy to forget, though, I guess. Problem solved
