    Hello,

I have a problem with using this plugin with my theme which uses timthumb as a image resizer. Basically something is changing in the .htaccess file when using this plugin which causes all of the images on my website to fail (just a box with a cross in it). After doing some research I have found that this is down to timthumb rewrite rule errors. When I remove the changes .htaccess file and add a default one the images are working again. Any idea on how to fix this?

    Thanks

    Andrew

Are you using the image hotlink prevention feature?

Hello and thanks for the reply.

No, I am not using that feature. What I did was to ‘disable security features’ using the button. Tested then and it was ok. So, I then just added basic firewall and basic login prevention (in other words I didn’t select any additional options from these tabs/settings). This worked ok with the new .htaccess file that was created so there is something in one of these settings which was causing the issue. Not sure what though?

    Thanks

You can keep enabling features one by one to find out which one doesn’t work with your theme. Doesn’t use the feature that doesn’t work with your theme. There is always going to be one or two features that doesn’t work with all themes.

In my case it was due to Bad Query Strings protection.
