Could you please check if the postleitzahl-Field and the town field have the correct css class attached… there are three: first, last and wide… if one of the two is wide (probably the first one, the second will display on the right hand side but on a new row.

p.s. you can set the behavior (first, last, wide) with WCPGSK in the according checkout form section, billing or shipping.

Thanks for the quick reply. The Postleitzahl-field is declared as left and the town-field as right. So that shouldn’t be the issue: https://www.diigo.com/item/image/3yj7g/wt81?k=9b0dde23a5d1f37c79863c8350451597
Could you please post a link to your website…
thanks.
uh
And could you try to set Bundesland to “gross”, “wide”. If you don’t have two fields on a row, the “links” setting for Bundesland does not make any sense…
uh
I tried setting Bundesland to “wide”, even though I don’t want that field displayed. Didn’t change anything. And here’s the link again: http://kaffeeprojekt.de.dd32610.kasserver.com/
In the form we have a div with class clear attached after the field Postleitzahl. That’s strange because the div shouldn’t be there. I can fix the problem setting the div to display none with an inspector.
I will have a close look into the code to see what I can do about this.

So it isn’t a just a problem I have with my installation? I guess that’s good news of a sort. I tried deleting and reinstalling everything. I made the ZIP-Code-field smaller and “left”, the city-field smaller and “right” … and nothing happened. The city field did not move up :-(.
Not really. That’s not a “bug”, but something that’s related with WooCommerce Country specific address handling… The country selector fires ajax and updates the address layout. If you switch forth and back between Austria and Germany you see what I mean.
The problem here is that the country field is vital and also the handling of some of the WooCommerce Core fields.
I will get into this but I don’t want to provide a quick fix that may prove insufficient or contra-productive.
In the meantime I would recommend that you set both fields to wide… Selecting Austria, this is what WooCommerce does to your form anyhow 🙂
I will close this for now and update the ticket once I have a stable solution for this…
