    Hi Peter,

I just tried your menu plugin and it works on one of the WordPress standard themes, but I want to use it with the Genesis 2 framework, and it does not appear and the regular menu remains on my resized browser window and on my phone. Could you advise me how to get your plugin working on my theme?

    Many thanks

  • Hi Tim,

Nice to see a fellow Londoner on here!

Could you please give me a link to the site you are using the Genesis 2 framework on so I can check this out for you.

One question I have is whether or not the theme itself uses the standard wp_head() and wp_footer() calls in the header.php and footer.php files respectively as without these the components will not be added.

    Many thanks

    Peter

    Hi Tim,

I have set this to resolved as I haven’t heard anything for 7 days now.

Please let me know if you still require help.

    Many thanks

    Hi Peter,

Sorry I must have missed the notification on your first reply. You can see the site I am testing on at: http://timbaggaley.co.uk/genesis2/ – the plugin is installed but I can get it to show only in my desktop browser if I am logged in as administrator. If I am not logged in, your menu does not show, and it does not show on my Android phone.

If you need a login email me at timbaggaley at gmail dot com and I’ll set up access for you.

    Many thanks,
    Tim, Saaaf Lonnon (innit)

    Hi Tim,

A South Londoner too, even better!

I also can’t see it at all on your site, it is odd that it is only showing when you are logged in as administrator, it doesn’t really correlate with any settings in the plugin.

Can you confirm that the framework has the wp_footer() and wp_head() calls in the header.php and footer.php files?

I tried to get the Genesis Framework 2 but it appears it is a paid theme so can’t download to test unfortunately.

If you could provide me with WordPress and FTP access I can certainly check this for you.

    Many thanks

    Peter

I don’t know enough php to know what to look for in the framework as regards the footer and header, so best I give you access. Drop me an email to timbaggaley at gmail dot com, and or I’ll email you.

If my googling skills are good you are in the green fields of Surrey, yes?

I’m in Brockley, the Lewisham posh-side…
    Tim

    Hi TIm,

No problem I can take a look at it for you, if you can send me an email to hello at peterfeatherstone dot com with your FTP and WP login details then I will take a look for you.

Your Googling skills are spot on, although unfortunately inside the London borough on the border of Surrey/South London rather than the lovely green fields!

Lewisham has a posh-side? Just kidding, Brockley is nice.

    Peter

    same issue for me.

have both calls in header and footer

only shows when i’m logged in as an admin

    Hi nick,

I just visited your site and can see the menu showing and working perfectly.

With Tim, the problem was to do with caching initially, however once this was cleared it worked fine.

    Many thanks
