Go to your Instagram dev account and try revoking all access to any apps and then uninstall the plugin and reconnect it to your account.

I don’t know if that will help but it is what I’d do if I had that issue

Hello and thanks so much for the reply,

so is this a setting through the plugin, or the instagram website?

sorry if I seem Stuu-Pid, but I dont use instagram personally, this is for my friends websites

    thanks.

On your instagram account. I don’t think this plugin is the cause of your issues, your access token might be corrupted. Try setting up a new one, revoke permissions of other apps as Braden suggested, and change your instagram password.

    Hey thanks for the replies.
I had forward the intitial suggestion to the EU, but for some reason he lost access to that instagram account.

So this week he created a new account and will try the settings again.

I actually had this happen to more than one website, the first kept getting hacked about once a week, and the other site was fine for about a month before getting hacked.

It’s possible for someone to hack your site and then as a result, get your instagram API key and then send photos to your account.

Install & Run Wordfence plugin and run a manual scan, also try Securi on your site to check for other vulnerabilities. I would also check in with your webhost to see if they see anything. Good luck!
