I set up a copy of the site on subdomain so I could work out changes. I disconnected jetpack on the development site. Once I implemented my changes on the live site, I found that all the site stats disappeared. When I was making the changes, I had a php error that disconnected the site from wordpress.com, but once reconnected, there were no more stats and the site was at zero visitors. I assume the stat info should still be around. The site is inspirationlab.org.

I’ve fixed this for you. For the record, your old ID (with which your stats were associated) was 57324869 and now it’s 65719742. Next time, if you copy a site, please disconnect Jetpack before copying over the database, and then reconnect it. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Richard… i fear i may be in the same boat as zemkukoy, but i’m not 100% certain. Maybe you can help? I built a WP site on http://www.saladdressingclub.com (currently disabled w/ a plugin) and had Jetpack active. Then WP Cloned the site over to http://www.AlpineAvocado.com. All has been working excellent until my last blog post started showing the email “from” name as Salad Dressing Club – the old domain. Yet it says “Alpine Avocado Vinaigrette” in my settings>general dashboard area.

Any recommendations on how to fix this? I’m stumped! I would hate to lose any JetPack data if i have to deactivate..etc.

    Many thanks,

Sorry…i should specify i’m using the Jetpack Blog Subscriptions widget which is why i think it may be related to Jetpack.

    Hi RTownsend,

What is the final URL for the site? Will it remain always as alpineavocado.com? Have you disconnected Jetpack in the old site? For the record, your current blog ID is 11804500 on our end, but this one seems to be associated with the right URL (alpineavocado.com). Has someone already taken care of this for you?

Richard…thanks so much for the followup. I found the issue: i didn’t deactivate Jetpack before i cloned the site which caused the confusion. So i deactivated on old site (www.saladdressingclub.com) and the new site, then reactivated it on the new site. All seems to work perfectly now.

    Many thanks!
