Make user profile fields optional

Hey everyone,

My website currently runs bbPress. Once a user has registered, they need to be able to go and change their password, but when they try to change it (either via bbPress or the WordPress user edit page), it won’t let them change it unless they’ve filled in the address etc fields. I don’t want to force users to enter these details, they should only be required to have a username, password and e-mail address. Is it possible to make all of the other fields optional?
