Hexa, not Hex
-
The theme is called Hexa and not Hex. Since the theme is called Hex and not Hexa on wordpress.org, child themes Circa and Quadra does not work. Fix it!

Hexa seems to be a different theme. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/hexa/
I’d also suggest that you try reading the Forum_Welcome and perhaps try adopting a less aggressive tone.
Hexa and Hex are actually the same theme – unfortunately the name Hexa was already taken on WordPress.org, so it had to be renamed here. I’ll make sure we get the child themes fixed up.
Would downloading the theme from wordpress.com address the issue in the short term?
In the meantime, changing two lines in the child theme’s style.css file should do the trick.
Change
* Template: hexa
to
* Template: hex
Change
@import url(../hexa/style.css);
to
@import url(../hex/style.css);
That should do the trick until we can get the new versions uploaded.

Yes, that should work too. The themes are not currently available for download over on WordPress.com, but we hope to have them up soon.

Aggressive tone? What do you mean?

Is the name Hexa really already taken on wordpress.org? I can not find another theme called Hexa.

– see, nothing, no search result eitherYes Hexa has really already been taken on WordPress.org.

The theme is not currently published, but it’s in the database behind the scenes.
Sometimes themes are removed at the request of the theme’s developer. Or are submitted but are never approved for addition to the Theme Repository. In both cases, that theme’s name is still retained & cannot be re-used. The Repository search is also configured to ignore all themes that haven’t been updated in the past 2 or more years as these may no longer be compatible with the current version of WordPress.

I see. Thanks for explaining.
At the request of the themes team, they now have the “Hexa” name on w.org and the “Hex” theme has been delisted.
Hexa will be listed after normal theme review.
Thank you so much, Otto!
I’ll post here when Hexa is available to download.
Awesome!
