Removing wp-mediaelement.js & mediaelement-and-player.min.js

Hi,

Can someone tell me why the following 2 scripts are being loaded on my site? I don’t have any media so don’t really see why these are being included?

Am I missing something in the admin like a jetpack plugin or something where I can turn it off?

I know I can remove them using ‘wp_deregister_style’ but I’d like to know why they are included in the first place.
