Jetpack means I can't use WordPress iPad or iPhone apps

Having trouble signing in to the WordPress app is on both my iPad and my iPhone.
The iPhone app simply doesn’t accept the wordpress.com password or the .org password – no idea why exactly but sometimes I get a text authentication message which is odd, because I can’t get to a iPhone app screen where I would enter any authentication.
It’s different on the iPad. Here I get a “Looks like you have Jetpack set up” message, which doesn’t recognise the WordPress.com password (that’s what it asks for) that I use to connect Jetpack on the desktop.
