• Hi everyone,

Some days ago i bought Nextgen Pro, escpecially for the Masonry option, because i want to put my pics as you can see on this page (NOT MY PAGE!!!) -> http://www.airshows.co.uk/features/2013/nellis-afb-red-flag-13-2/
When you click on some of the pictures, you see that the image has the same size as the other pictures.
eg the grey aircraft with the black nose in the first block, when you click on the picture you see that the original pic shows more then the thumbnail, but it has the same size as the pic before or after.

When you do some research at Nextgen, you find this tutorial -> http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-pro-masonry/
There you see they use all the same shaped and pictures, but when you look at the example, some pics aren’t there, but they have a nice build up masonry.

When i use the tutorial, i end up with al the same shaped pictures like NextGen Basic Thumbnails and i don’t think that’s the meaning of it.

So, i wrote to the support from NextGen and received following answer

    Hi Michael,

There are actually quite a few different types of Masonry available, the one we have included auto-arranges the images and bases the size of thumbnails on the aspect ratio and set width in the settings. We are planning on including an additional Masonry display in one of our next upgrades (I can’t tell you exactly when, but in one of the next updates to Pro is what we’d like). The gallery display type that we plan on including is a lot like the example you referred to. More of a difference in thumbnail size.

    Hope that helps!
    Becky

If i understand this right, we must adjust every thumbnail mannualy to get the masonry result???

So why do they use such an example in the tutorial without any further explanation with it?
I’m not very happy now, because they give some false info about some of their features in NextGen.

Hope they find an easier solution in the near future!!!

    Thanks in advance

    Greetz
