This is a huge longshot, but figured I’d ask.

I use Auto-Schedule Posts to deal with publishing items on a couple of projects. That plugin registers a new post status “auto-schedule” which I use EditFlow’s status feature(only) to expose in the UI so that I can manually assign posts to it, because the ASP plugin normally does a weird hijacking of the regular publishing process to do its thing.

This setup behaved perfectly up through EF 0.7.6. When I upgraded to 0.8, both projects suddenly started barfing out posts every 5 minutes, rather than on their usual schedules. EditFlow doesn’t do anything directly related to scheduling or even posting itself that I’m aware of, so I have no idea what could possibly be causing this. Downgrading to 0.7.6 corrects the behavior.

If anyone out there’s familiar with the EF code enough to speculate, even wildly, about what might be going on, I’d appreciate any thoughts. I’ve started having a look at what changed between versions for clues, but this is really not my area at all.

Switching from ASP is not an option. I’ve tried all the auto-posting plugins I could find and it’s the only one that can do the specific behavior I want.
