@elevencars: With the WP update, did you change the permalinks? Otherwise the like count wont be affected. If you can pass the url with the issue, I can assist you.
Hi, thanks for your reply. Correct, we have changed the permalinks. As the plugin works with wordpress the likes should be associated with the specific page ID and not the URL, in my opinion. But that might just be me. 🙂
But we also lost the likes have on both language homepages, which have not been changed and have nothing to do with permalinks. Or am I wrong?
I have turned off the plugin for now but the homepages (both in one install of WP but languages and domain handled by WPML):

@elevencars: The like count is against each url which is how it get tracked in social media sites. Page Id is specific to your site and the page url is the single point of entry from outside your site.
In the second issue of lost likes in home pages, is the likes counted for each article? ie., even though the counters are shown in home pages, are they for a specific product, post or a page? In that case as well, the url to the post is taken for getting the count.
The counts on the homepage was for the homepage. But I’m sorry, it’s all too late now. We have installed Shareaholic and we have lost the page and product counts but all the counts on the homepage are back, which was a nice surprise.
Shareaholic is much cleaner and faster than your plugin and it just works as expected. Good luck with yours. I’ll give your’s one more star because you reacted to my review so quick. 🙂
