  • Hi,
Developing a website to share the memories which my wife and I have of our life. With four children, six grandchildren, and a grandson, we have lots of 35-mm slides, movies, and old photos. Wanted to make sure family and friends had a chance to see these items. I know I am having a good time looking at all of the media.

Learning how to use Pinnacle Studio to develop mp4 files.

Still need to develop a lot of text, and slide shows. Probably have a couple of years of work.

Let me know if the navigation design can be improved. Appreciate your comments and feedback.

  • Congratulations Joe… this is really an amazing way to use the power of WP to create a very special family archive.

It’s difficult to critique something so personal to you. I will say that the design/theme looks great. Very user-friendly and easy to navigate. I love the touch that each individual has their name on their respective page side bar. Smart… and easy to find!

I know it’s still early and the site is a work in progress. Maybe one bit of design feedback… it sounds like you have a great deal of photographs at your disposal. Perhaps create visually interesting photo montages that occupy the large image space on the pages, rather than just the title.

    Lorbach,

Appreciate the comments. Your observation on the header having only text is right on. Still thinking about how to improve that. It would be great if I knew how to put in a slider with photos. At this point I do not know how to do that. Your suggestion on creating a photo montage is excellent. That is something I know how to do.

    Thank you for commenting.
