• Here’s the link. I’ve read that this error can be caused by extra spaces in or around some tags, but it was not clear to me which tags were meant. Nor was it clear which files these tags would be in so I could edit them out.

I re-installed my theme (CityScape by themecorp) in the hopes that it would resolve this problem. It didn’t.

Can anyone tell me what’s going on? The error message reads

XML Parsing Error: xml processing instruction not at start of external entity
    Location: http://feeds.feedburner.com/PositiveLiberty
    Line Number 1, Column 2: <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?>
    -^

…and more than 100 subscribers are now without a feed.

I’ve even changed to the WordPress default theme, and it still gives just the same error, so I can’t see how this is anything I’ve done.

The ONLY plugin I’m running is Akismet spam protection, which I don’t dare take down, since spam nearly killed my blog before I installed it. I’m running the latest version, too.

Can anyone please help me? I feel like I’m talking to an empty room here.

hey there… I know what you mean by the empty room… is this similar to the problem you have?
