How to change a delimiter?

Hi,
By default really simple csv importer use “,” (comma) as a delimiter, but my problem is that I have a lot of content to import which currently have lots ofcommas and ruins my columns. How can I set a plugin to interpret ; or # or something else as a delimiter instead of comma?
