I have just updated the plugin to it’s latest version and it crashed my WP installation, giving HTTP 500 error, with the following error appearing in the php error log (60326 times).

I have tried installing it from the start (deleted, fresh install) but same thing.

[11-Feb-2014 09:32:00] PHP Warning: call_user_func(wp_se_migrate_7_0_2) [<a href='function.call-user-func'>function.call-user-func</a>]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback in /home/x24cchro/public_html/wp-content/plugins/search-everything/config.php on line 75

  • yep, same here. Just updated and everything broke.

Search Everything 7.0.3 affected my WP 3.8.1 Installation too. Frontend , backend AND FTP-access (!) are inaccessible. And now?

It definitely makes the whole installation to crash…like any corrupted plugin would.
Though I managed to delete its folder from the wp-content/plugins section via ftp…and my site came back to life.

Waiting to hear from the developer.

Same here. Happend after updating to 7.0.3 from 7.0.2 on WP 3.8.1 and PHP 5.3.10.

Hey, sorry for this issue, we’re on it and we’ll solve this ASAP.

    @ Gerhard Lichtenauer

Access you cPanel… and via file manager go to wp-content/plugins …and delete ‘search everything’ folder.

Should load OK after that. (until the plugin update becomes available)

@vaschops, thank you, but cPanel has to be purchased.
Does anyone know a freeware alternative.

@tataencu Thanks for info, this was very useful.

Recently we refactored a lot of code for easier maintenance and added migration functions and obviously introduced a bug.
We fixed the migration function that was causing this issue and released an update (7.0.4). Please let me know if after update to 7.0.4 everything works as expected.

    @gerhard Lichtenauer
I’m not sure how our plugin could affect your FTP access… Anyway, here are some free cPanel alternatives that might come handy…

Again, we’re very sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.

    Best,

All works fine now. Thanks for the fast response.

    Thanks! Good to hear.

    Right, seems fine now. Thanks

With Cyberduck FTP-client I was able to remove the plugin in wp-content/plugins
    Thx @vashops

@mateja, backend and frontend works now, FTP-access with FireFTP makes still the same problem, so this was and is another cause, not associated with the plugin-issue.

    Thanks everyone.

@gerhard I’m glad you got your site back up and running.
