Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to view the whole slider when creating a full page slider? I’m finding it difficult to position items when i can only see a quarter of the screen. A “fit to page” or zoom in, zoom out option would be great! Unless I’m missing it, I’m not seeing anything

    Hi RaiderKat,

first of all sorry for late response. I try to write you some tips and trick for the editing:
Size: if you use a full size slider then you should set the width of the slider for 1920px with upscale and downscale. I think nowadays a bigger dimension is totally useless and the upscale produce perfect solution for the bigger monitor sizes.
Math math math: This is your best friend in positioning. If you have a 200px X 100px image than firstly when you add a layer write it into the layer size. It will convert to percent but it will be the correct size. Then you can drop the image item into the layer. An other tip if you would like to center something then easily count. For example: if you have a 200px wide layer and you would like to center it into the 1920px space, then just count the correct left size: (FULLSIZEWIDTH-LAYERWIDTH)/2
Photoshop: so if you have a ready design, then just use the ruler or the marquee tool for the distances.

In the next version I’m going to add a ratio value for the backend, which will downscale the canves size. I would like to release a huge update on this week!

If you have any idea feel free to share with me and I try to implement. 🙂

Thanks so much for getting back to me. Although I have a pretty decent size monitor, when doing a slider in wordpress the menus(wordpress and smart slider) take up so much real estate on the window that it seems there is very little space for the canvas. Even when doing a slider that is say 800 wide, I am forced to keep scrolling right and left to see the slider or the menus. Just a bit of a hassle. Having an option to make the canvas fit the page I think would be great!

Another suggestions I have (since you’re asking for suggestions:) is to be able to give layers classes. It would be nice on smaller screens to be able to “rearrange” the layers so they fit better instead of the slider getting so small.

I’m not sure if that would work with animations but its a thought. I know some things give you the option of a special CSS class. It would be great if layers could have the same option:)

Other than that…Great slider! Absolutely love it and will use it A LOT for my clients.

Thanks so much again! Looking forward to the update!

    Hi RaiderKat,

today I added my test version a ratio to the settings. In the future you can easily add three numbers which will scale down you canvas. The tree variable: desktop, tablet and mobile. So all in all if I release the new version, then everybody will be able to design for every size, even more you can set the size of the canvas. For example: you slider is 1000px wide and ratios are the followings: monitor 1, tablet 0.6, mobile 0.3. So if you switch to mobile view then, then you will see a 300px wide canvas and so on.

I’m glad to see that you like my plugin, in this week I’ll release a really huge update:
    – new slider type
    – new demos
    – new backend views and a ton of feature

Also I’m going to add a ton of features for the free version too! Probably I’m going to create a post and few new videos too. 🙂

Am I right that you have the full version?

Please download the nextend.zip from the download area of nextendweb.com and copy the contents to this folder and overwrite the files:

    /home/content/s/t/e/steveabo/html/wp-content/plugins/nextend/
