    I’ve just upgraded to 3.2.3 and since the upgrade I’m receiving the following error when posting to Facebook:

    “Array
    (
    [pgID] =>
    [isPosted] => 0
    [pDate] => 2014-02-07 23:33:40
    [Error] => [ERROR] An unexpected error has occurred. Please retry your request later.

    )
    Array ( [pgID] => [isPosted] => 0 [pDate] => 2014-02-07 23:33:40 [Error] => [ERROR] An unexpected error has occurred. Please retry your request later.
    )”

    Although I receive this error, the post to Facebook is perfectly fine and my Image + URL displays correctly.

    I have read an FAQ which says unexpected error can occur if the image URL cannot be read correctly by Facebook debugger, and indeed I do have this problem due to using a CDN but it doesn’t stop anything I share actually displaying correctly to FB.

    Has something changed in the latest version to cause this? – I’m not sure this is an image problem, as the image is still publishing correctly to Facebook, despite this error. Is there a way to just turn the error off?

    Thanks

    Mike

  • I get that too, but i’m also finding that it isn’t posting to twitter at all and can’t find anything in support to help. Got the latest WP version and latest APP version, but still not helped.

    Any suggestions anyone?

    can’t find anything in support to help

    ??

    The answer is in the FAQ – #4.18:
    http://www.nextscripts.com/support-faq/#q418

    that did nothing to answer the problem with facebook as it publishes onto there, but shows an error for no reason. As for twitter, i’ve no idea why it isn’t even posting over there?

    I’m not getting error #15. I actually found that the error only occurs when you select the share by attaching blogpost rather than linking to it. When I link to it, I get no error at all.

    P.s. I have logged a ticket under my ‘priority support’ with NextScripts but had no response there yet I receive one here in the “free support” area.

    Same problem and the FAQ #4.18 dont help.

    The issue is when you try to use the attach blogpost option. If you select the link to blogpost it will work.

    This issue only occurs in the latest releases, it was working perfectly fine before but the plugin author continues to refuse that this is a problem and that the issue is on Facebooks side (even though I’ve tested side by side with a different version where it works, and then upgraded and it stops 100%)

    (@nextscripts)

    Mike Turner, we are not refusing to look at the problem. We just have no way to do that. We are not getting this problem anywhere in our environment, and all customer’s websites we saw were confirming that the issue is on Facebook’s side.

    If it’s possible to give us an access to the site where you have old version 100% working and new version 100% failing, please contact support directly. We will be happy to look and determine the difference.

    Hi NextScripts,

    I actually already have a ticket open with you under my ‘Priority Support’ account (actually about 4 tickets) but you won’t answer a single one and instead only seem to focus on tickets that are put here.

    I’m sure I can help set something up to give you a comparison (you could probably do this yourself, as it appears to be an issue 100% of the time with the current version on blogpost attach opposed to link).

    Please respond to my tickets and we can discuss further (I will continue to update this thread with progress to ensure the topic isn’t completely taken away from here)

    Thanks

    Again.

    This is not a general issue. We don’t have this problem in our environment. More then that. Out of thousands people who use our plugin we got about 10 reports of this issue.

    We looked at some sites and the problem is NOT related to our code.

    For example one site had a 100% rate of failed posts (attached, shared, text, image – doesn’t matter). We noticed that the site is very slow by itself and after investigation we disabled some 3rd party plugin. Site become noticeably faster and now posts are going to Facebook with 100% success rate.

    Please trust me, if it was a problem with our code we would be happy to fix it ASAP instead of answering threads as this one and getting such a “nice” reviews from you.

    I paid $150 dollars to you to for the plugin and for ‘priority support’ but I have got far from that. You haven’t even tried talking to me to look at the problem fully before ruling it out and becoming adament that this isn’t an issue.

    You are using someone elses site as an example. My site is fast, it is on a VPS.

    The review I posted was in light of the poor support you are providing ‘paid customers’ who paid for ‘priority support’ and aren’t getting it. If you improved your level of ‘customer service’ you probably wouldn’t receive poor reviews (I’m not the only one who has made these remarks)

    I’m more than happy to work with you to try to figure out what is going wrong. As I said, I had the plugin working absolutely fine with posting to Facebook, then I upgraded and it stopped working.

    Taking the attitude you are taking and completely dismissing what myself and other people are telling you is extremely unhelpful to both your ‘paying’ customers as well as to the general WordPress community.
