    Okay I’ve read through this article in the Codex http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages , but I have a question that was clear in there and just want to make sure.

    I’m creating a site with different sections…like a newspaper, sports, business, national, etc. In these sections there are going to be many child pages. I thought I read somewhere that a page template, like if I was to create sports.php could only be used once, is that true? Or can I reuse the templates over and over again for all the child pages in that section?

    False. You can use them as many times as you want.

    (just curious: wouldn’t make more sense to use the categories for “sections” – I mean if you will have posts in those sections…?)

    Thanks.

    I would use categories, but the information that is going to be the section is general information and won’t be changed a lot during the course of a year.
