• Can you tell me where to find the search results page so I can edit it – I’d like to change the widget area, or just delete it completely, but don’t know how to find it.

    Thanks

  • It should be called search.php. If it doesn’t exist, you can create it. You should make the changes in a child theme, though.

Thanks very much for your reply, but I’m afraid I know very little about all this at the moment – I’m learning, slowly.

How do I find this page – it’s not in the list of pages I created. There’s another change I’d like to make which means creating a child theme – that’s next on my list to figure out.

Once I’ve done that, can you give me any more tips on the next step to edit the search page. The easiest thing would just be to delete the sidebar, as that’s the thing I’m having problems with.

Thanks again, I really appreciate your advice.
