Can't use dollar sign in Details; Question about Payment text

    First off, fantastic plugin!

    I’ve been able to accomplish a lot but have found some minor issues.

    1. If I add a price with a dollar sign to the text within the Details field, like so “Cost is $59, including lunch…” it does not display the price, instead: “Cost is , including lunch…” It displays if I place a space between the $ and the number. Not a huge deal, can get away with not mentioning the price in the Details but would be nice to be able to do so.

    2. One more question: Is it possible to change the text that displays below the Payment Handling?
    “The booking price in USD is: 59
    You can pay for this event via paypal. If you wish to do so, click the ‘Pay via Paypal’ button below.”

    I’d very much like to be able to customize this but can’t find anywhere to do so.

    Hi,

    the dollar-sign problem is indeed a bug and already fixed in the current dev version.
    Concerning the second one: this string is currently not customizable. Please make a feature request at http://www.e-dynamics.be/bbpress for that.

    When you say the issue has been fixed in the dev version, does that mean the next update to the plugin will contain the fix?

    I have about 100 events listed and now none display the prices due to this bug. Will the fix be available within a day or so?

    Why not use #_PRICE in the description of the event, that would have avoided the problem?
    For now: I’m still testing the dev version. People always keep pressing me for changes and then never return feedback, so you’ll have to be patient. Unless you’re willing to try the dev version?

    I’m not sure I have the skills to test the dev version. I run a non-profit and the website is just one more thing to manage, not my strongest skill set. I am willing to try the dev version if it doesn’t require me to know anything about programming.

    I appreciate the time you put into this great plug in. After trying a few others, yours definitely had the functionality I was looking for. I’m sure there is functionality that I am not even using, simply because I don’t have the time and experience to learn it.
