  • yeah same thing for me.

i tried un-installing cp7, cleaned my cache and tried re-installing but still not receiving any mails.

i am wondering if my host (hostgator are the source of the problem)

RE: could it be my server / host? any thoughts?

    Yes – definately.

There are a host of issues that can stop or delay emails on both the sending and receiving ends. It depends entirely on your local Server & WordPress configuration.

See Contact Form 7 Email Issues.

Most people that work through this information appear to be able to resolve their email sending & receiving issues.

Nope. Same here .. was sending emails fine. Then updated to 3.7. Now no emails are being sent.

Think this might be a plugin bug?

I am having a similar problem, but not exactly the same. It works for a while and then stops working, usually after I make a change. This has happened at least 4 or 5 times over the past month. I clear the cache and try on several different browsers, but get no emails. It starts to work after someone else tries it on their computer. Thought it might be a caching issue, but I keep cleaning the cache.

I think I figured out my problem. Perhaps this might help others. Installed this plugin: WP-Mail-SMTP and configured it. Required for sending webmail on many servers, like godaddy.

    WP-Mail-SMTP fixed my problem 😀

Thank you! Yes WP-Mail-SMTP solved it form me too. Install. go to WP-Mail-SMTP settings. Select Use the PHP mail() function to send emails. Save. Brilliant.

Hi Guys – glad your were able resolve your problems.

@wild Concepts – If this resolves your question, it helps others contributing here, if you can flag your post as [resolved]

It’s important that others reading this post understand that the actual solution will depend entirely on your local Server & WordPress configuration.

In partcular I’d like to emphasize that the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin is not a magic bullet. It works in some cases but will not help in many others and can in fact make things harder because using SMTP means you have authenticate the From: email address.
