• Hi WordPress-Community,

I just deleted a page with a certain permalink, because I wanted to create a totally different page with the particular permalink, that the permanently deleted page was accessible from.
But now, everytime, that I attempt to access the new page from the particular permalink/URL, I’m being redirected to a page with a similar slug/URL, but not to the page, that I actually set the permalink for.
It seems like I can’t really set the URL for the new page, because the previous page, that I permanently deleted, was accessible from this particular permalink.

I hope you can understand the problem.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Did you move the old page to the trash or delete permanently? If the old page is in the trash, you need to delete it permanently.

It’s also possible you may need to flush your permalinks, which you can simply do by going to Settings->Permalinks in the admin and then click “Save Changes.”
