MP4 videos with SRT subtitles

    I have converted the videos to MP4 with SRT files using the Handbrake. It worked fine in Quicktime player on Mac OS X with subtitles showing but when being played online, the subtitles doesn’t show up?

    Is there a reason for this? I have searched for this solution on the internet but it seems there is no clear answer (or that I won’t accept!).

    I am not sure why the need to attach the SRT file to video online when I have already done that with Handbrake? I have also tried this method with coding but it doesn’t still work.
