Feature request: Upload & edit bib and PDF files from wordpress

    Since the possibility to edit files (as described in http://wordpress.org/plugins/papercite/faq/) has been removed from WordPress a couple of releases ago, there is currently no chance to edit the bib file online (since all papercite related documents moved to a new location).

    For installations where most editors do not have ssh / ftp access to the server, it would be beneficial to allow these editors to upload / updated bib files (and corresponding PDFs of these related papers) within the WordPress admin interface. Is there for instance a reason why the paper PDFs are not integrated into the normal media library?

    The reason for doing so is that it allows to auto-match papers (pdfs) and to refer to a bibtex file with one name (since all the bib files are in the same folder).

    After a quick look at how media are stored in wordpress, actually, it would be easy to provide an option to look at wordpress medias.

    This is implemented in 0.5.6. Note that before you also had (and still have) the possibility to use custom fields for bibtex – but not for attached files.
