  • I have the same issue. I’m trying to find out how I can let people organize it by themselves (via make, model, type, or drivetrain things like that) while on the cars-for-sale page. I got it to work if you click on a car, however it will currently only list 20 units and it doesn’t give you options to let them organize them on their own.

Hey Patrick can you explain more what you are trying to do? Are you wanting cars to be displayed by brand (ford, chevy, audi, etc) alphabetically? Are you wanting them separated into blocks?

    Hello,
I want the same actually. I want cars to be shown on the basis of brands ike Toyota, Nissan, Mazda etc. sorry japanese brands only Can the brands be shown representing their respective cars

    Thanks

Again, can you be more specific for what you are wanting?

Are you wanting to display ONLY Toyota cars on a page?

Are you wanting all cars display but grouped by brand?

I want display cars in order of brand: first Austin-Healey Buick … now the cars wil be displayed in order to insert

I have a few different options for you but first are you wanting this to be done in live time? Ex: From the /cars-for-sale page do you want to add the sort by Make option?

Or do you want a stand alone page that displays them in that order?

for me specifically what I would like to do is, live time be able to have the customer select a brand (i.e lets say Chevrolet) and when they select that option, have the page narrow all the options currently in my inventory to just show Chevrolets.

I don’t want it to be separate pages I could do that but it would clutter the site. I want it to live time narrow down upon request of a drop down.

Ahhh thanks eprunier89. This is already easily done. I would highly suggest looking into CD’s Advanced Search plugin. It is a commercial add-on to CarDemon that does exactly what you’re asking for.

There are most definitely free options as well by using other search/sort plugins however they wouldn’t be specifically designed for CD use.
