Due to type of events I’m managing, I need the event name that appears on the full calendar to include the location. This could be the Venue or the City/St.

Seems like it’s a one-line change, to a hook.

BTW – I’d also like the location to be added to the tooltip during hover.

You could use this filter: http://codex.wp-event-organiser.com/hook-eventorganiser_fullcalendar_event.html.

It filters each event (as an array) before returning it as part of the ajax response. (relevant source: https://github.com/stephenharris/Event-Organiser/blob/2.6.0/includes/event-organiser-ajax.php#L84:#L179). You could change the title attribute.
