Not yet, but it could be something to implement on a future version. Thanks!

This was included on version 0.46:

title_limit – Set the limit of characters for the title. Ex: [catlist id=2 title_limit=50] will show only the first 50 characters of the title and add “…” at the end.

Update it once it’s up on WordPress.org and let me know if it works for you. Thanks!

[catlist id=2 title_limit=50] sorry this don’t work. I try this on 3 domains ;/ please fix it, this is good plugin, but this bug is annoying 🙂
This option should also in widget

knightrider123 I can’t reproduce the “bug”. It is working on my testing blogs .Have you tried a different size? What’s the complete shortcode you’re using?

in simple page i use test like this:
    [catlist id=2 title_limit=10]
    [catlist id=2 title_limit=20]
    [catlist id=2 title_limit=30]

    But this is “alexandre_malves” problem.
    My problem is that:
I want to have 10 random post from cat=2 on my sidebar.
    I have wery long titles.
In widgets i can do randomize, nr of post but there is no options to do short_title 🙁
