Good but not great

This is a good tool for basic color and font changes. I do have several issues with it as follows: I cannot find any real instruction to use the colors properly. Changing a single color is no problem but what is the second box for and how do I use it? I have reset and started over at least ten times as issues occur. Some new items seem to attach themselves to other items. I just want the guide for Dummies and would appreciate any info available.
