• Hello: I installed the plug in and quickly set it up a few days ago. I have a problem and I don’t see where to fix it.

When I log in, I get the credits. When any of my other uses log in, I see nothing in the log that they have logged or made a post, etc. So I went into users and added points manually. Still today, I see no updates for the points I added.

I’m at a loss here. It’s not working quite right. Any suggestions?

    Hi.

If you visit the myCRED > Hooks page in the admin area, what colors does the icons have for the hooks you use when you award points to users?

What version of WP are you using? Do you have any plugins you use that adjusts the login process? Does this happen with all hooks? No one else buy you get points? Is this a Multisite installation?

It was WP 3.8 but I just updated with the new 3.8.1
I’m also using s2member pro but the log in is just a modified version of the wp-login page… and many other plug ins. I really can’t “undo” them temporarily. I have buddy press and bbpress as well.

I think Hooks might have been it. I scrolled down and found where I had not activated the buddy press groups and such. Give me a couple days to see what happens and I’ll let you know if that fixed part of the problem.

But why would it not update my manual add of points?

    No worries.

It would help tremendously if you maybe could take a screenshot showing me what is wrong.

    @gabriel.
Ok. I’ve given it a couple days. Today I logged in and found that My credits are showing but another active member’s credits were not.

I have screen captures but have no clue how to get them to you. It doesn’t seem to have a upload feature here.

    Suggestions?

This issue was resolved by uninstalling and re-installing the myCRED plugin. There seems to be some conflict with the S2Members (Pro) plugin. Once the plugin was re-installed the issue was resolved.

Well, not completely. I am now able to give points through the WP users screen, however it’s still not updating that one member’s points when he logs in.

Also, I am not convinced that it’s s2member pro causing the problem. All of my members use it, even me. So blaming that software isn’t quite warranted at this point. Since myCred is working on some of the other accounts. I actually believe it is a problem with bbpress. When I originally installed it, I had brought over members from phpbb3’s database. I really didn’t like the way it looked with my old template, so I uninstalled it… not knowing it would leave behind traces of itself in my database. The member who has problems (and there may be another I’ve not looked into yet) is a former phpbb3 moderator.

    So yeah… nope, not resolved.

    Hi

Thank you for the update. So far I have not been able to recreate this issue, not even with bbPress. I have asked other S2 Member users to see if they have a simular issue and so far no luck (with or without bbPress).

Hello Gabriel. That helps a bit actually. When I deleted and reinstalled myCredit, it kept the previous information. So apparently the uninstall process doesn’t clear the database… right? My question is how is the database created, updated, etc. Is there something I can purge to start a new install and recreate it anew?

    Hi.

You can delete all log entries on the myCRED > Settings page under “Management” with a click of a button.

When you uninstall myCRED via the admin area it should drop your log table and with that delete all log entries. Are you saying this does not happen when you select “Delete” on the Plugins page in the admin area?

myCRED creates the log between step 1 and step 2 of the first time setup you run when you activate myCRED. It is updated when ever points are awarded or deducted from users.

    well, howdy!

No, when I uninstalled it. It somehow retains the info. I re-installed it thinking it was an server update issue, …. nope still has old info. Still doesn’t update.

    I’m at a loss…

If you enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file and then try and remove the plugin via your admin area, do you get any errors? Could be that something goes wrong just as the plugin is deleted causing the uninstaller to fail.
