Trouble uploading images

Hi

I am having troubles uploading files to the NextGen Gallery plugin.

I can add files, and select a gallery to upload them to, but when I click start upload, the first file in the list goes green and says it is 100%, and then it seems to hang and do nothing else. and the status bar at the bottom says it has uploaded 0/14 or however many files I try to upload.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated
